Projects switcher

A project serves as an organizational unit within CNAP, allowing you to efficiently manage and group related resources. The resources within a project include: Clusters, Products, and one Stripe Account, Regions, and more. You can view and create projects in the project switcher in the top left corner of the sidebar in the dashboard. Only you can see the projects you have access to, no other users can see them.

Creating a Project

You can create a project by clicking the “Create Project” button in the project switcher.

Define the name and optional icon of the project, which will be displayed in the project switcher.

When to use separate projects

A project is useful when you want to manage multiple clusters, products, or other resources that are related to each other or belong to the same organization.
  • If you have two different SaaS companies, you can create two projects and manage their resources separately.
  • If you have an agency and need dedicated projects for each client.
Keep in mind that separating projects is not always necessary. Instead, you can create multiple products within the same project for different customers who require unique product configurations, such as pricing and exposed settings, potentially even for the same or different Helm charts.
